吉朗旅遊渡假攻略Geelong & Bellarine Peninsula- 吉朗旅遊渡假攻略Geelong & Bellarine Peninsula 吉朗是維州的第二大城市，位於port philp 內灣，是通往著名大洋路十二門徒石的必經通道。這個海灣城市有超過22萬居住人口，華人的比例相對較少。雖然冇Mornington 同philpisland 咁受歡迎，但哩度的景點其實一啲都唔輸蝕，亦都係非常吸引的旅游露營之地。 今集一開始就介紹主菜先，直入市中心既Geelong water front.，亦都係floating Christmas tree 所在地。我聖誕節的節目都有包括這裡的夜景，今集就在日頭參觀下啦。聖誕樹旁這個建築是旋轉木馬，這個木馬來頭唔細，係由1892年開始建成，到1950被廢棄。木馬由便攜式蒸氣驅動，世界各地僅有200個正在運行，非常有歴史價值。 每一個木馬都係手工雕刻而成，從96-99經過差不多4年時間翻新，冼咁多錢回復原狀唔係放入博物館喎，現在依舊比5蚊就有得玩，聽完我解釋，係咪突然好想坐呢？ 經過木馬，旁邊就是另一個吉朗熱門的旅遊點 - 吉朗海灣。海灣周邊一帶超過100個藝術風采的木頭人，這些木偶人是以前碼頭拆毀時，留下的老舊的木椿再利用。由女藝術家 Jan Mitchell 所設計，木偶人總共有 106 根，分別散佈於馬路旁、碼頭處、海邊和沙灘上。 每個人物角色表情都不同，亦都是Geelong 代表性的人物，當地人的回憶。 Eastern Beach是這裡著名的海灣之一,因為內海的關係海面很平靜，而且水質非常好，清澈見底！ 這裡完善的配套設施，包括遊樂場，歷史悠久的藝術裝飾風格的木板圍繞著一個圓形海水游泳池，亦有小朋友專用的海水游泳池，它建於20世紀30年代，當中包含幾個遊樂設施的浮島，由大型潛水塔主導。風景如畫的保護區不時會有救生員巡邏，在裡面游泳頗安心！ 泳池後方的山坡是吉朗植物園 Geelong Botanical Gardens吉朗植物園位於吉朗市中心正東面，北部緊鄰吉朗東部海灘，從建立至今已有將近150年的歷史，可以話係澳洲最古老的植物園之一被列入維多利亞州文化遺產名錄。植物園得到精心的維護，環境優美，樹木種類豐富，有很多小型耐寒的多年生植物和爬藤植物，園內巨大無花果樹下有一個很大的蝙蝠聚集地，園裡還有很多的鳥類棲息。 有小朋友的可以從泳池這邊坐觀光火車，8元一位，由泳池這邊來回聖誕樹一圈。 途中亦會經過觀光直升機，這是欣賞吉朗全景的好機會。乘坐海上直升機，可以從吉朗最頂點俯瞰整個海灣，其大大小小的歷史建築物，著名的貝爾斯海灘等美麗景致。它提供不同路線和時間來迎合遊客的喜好，價格按地點和飛行時間計算。 Geelong 市中心除了很多古舊建築可以拍照外還有到處系藝術畫作可以慢慢欣賞。亦可以到吉朗藝術館，距今已有150年的歷史。館內藏品眾多，以殖民時期的繪畫為主，藏有豐富的澳大利亞及歐洲藝術家的繪畫，雕塑作品以及瓷器作品。 羊毛博物館應該還是前所未聞的吧？澳大利亞是出名生產羊毛織物的國家，所以吉朗的羊毛博物館更是不容錯過!博物館位於吉朗市中心。 離開市中心向南走，Point Lonsdale作為吉朗市旁邊的一個小鎮，是澳大利亞最後一座有人值守的燈塔所在地，這座燈塔跟Queenscliff四座燈光設施一起構成一套複雜的燈光導航系統，指引著各種船舶進出菲利普灣的正確航道。從這裡可以清楚的看到菲利普灣的入口以及對岸的索倫托，即是我們熟知的Mornington Peninsula的一部分。 而這個燈塔位置，亦係當年逃犯William Buckley 同一起生活起過的山洞原址。 由燈塔向東北方向走好快去到今日集最後站，皇后崖Queenscliff. 皇后崖曾經是Victoria 一個相當顯赫的繁忙市鎮，由1853年改名成皇後岸開始，它好快演變成船隻貿易，貨運及軍事據點。因為這位置同對岸的mornington 成為天然咽喉位置，自然成為鎖定任何進入內港船隻的要塞，淘金時代及1-2戰時此處亦保護出入船隻既安全。 因此這小鎮到處可以見到維多利亞時代的建築。來這𥚃亦可必參觀這個皇后崖軍事碉堡始，碉堡建於1860年，1890年代起更加成爲當地沿海防衛的指揮總部，集結了炮兵、軍營、步兵以及海軍防衛力量樞紐，並與對岸的 Fort Nepean 一同擔當守衛Port Philip Bay海口聯防任務； 現在參觀碉堡必需join 個半鐘向Tour,導遊會一一講解碉堡的故事。除了參觀碉堡，亦可坐下1879年開始由Queenscliff 到south Geelong 的The Bellarine Railway同海軍博物館。

It is about a 1.5hr drive by train, which is very suitable for people like me who can't drive but still want to escape from the city to enjoy some sunshine. I have to say that the beach in Geelong is super beautiful and huge, and it took me more than half an hour to walk along the beach. There are also many instagrammable restaurants near the beach, although I chose to go elsewhere for lunch. Other than the seaside, I recommend going to the national wool museum/ Geelong gallery for a walk. I hope you all have a good time watching it. Geelong is Victoria's second-largest city, located on Corio Bay, within a short drive from popular beach-front communities on the Bellarine Peninsula as well as being the gateway to the famous Great Ocean Road, which begins just south of Geelong at Torquay. The city itself boasts a large commercial center that extends down to the foreshore, offering visitors the chance to explore popular beach-front attractions such as Eastern Beach with its swimming enclosure, the Steampacket Gardens, the dining options available on Cunningham Pier, and several coastal walks, dotted with collections of bollards depicting historic characters. Elegant architecture, colorful gardens and parks, and the backdrop of Corio Bay are all symbolic of what locals refer to as the "city by the bay".

We head into regional Victoria and take a walk around Geelong, a town around 70 km from Melbourne city. It is a port city and has its own beach, and a few ferries to and from Melbourne, in addition to the VLine trains which also connect the two cities together. Like Melbourne, it was also an bustling city during the gold rush era. We start our walk hopping off a VLine train at Geelong Station, which is old enough to be heritage listed. We walk around the Cultural Precinct, with Victorian, Batman-esque Arts Deco and Brutalist buildings all mixed into one place. These are mostly government buildings, along with a library and art museum. Afterwards, your walker heads into the the city centre, starting with Little Malop Street, part of which is a walking street surrounded by great cafes (come for breakfast here if you're staying the night). Many heritage buildings, such as the T&G Building (which used to exist in every major Australian city - the one in Melbourne still stands: 🤍 and the local Village Cinema retains its classic exteriors.
