Imam Al Mufassireen Ibn Jarir Al Tabari said regarding the Quran: *“The Quran is the speech of Allah that he revealed and it is from the meanings of his Tawheed, what’s correct from the statement in this matter for us is that, the speech of Allah is uncreated how it was written, where it was recited and in which position it was read, in the heavens it is found, in the earth where it is memorised, written in the preserved tablet, on the wooden tablets of children it is written, carved on rocks, or written on paper, memorised in the hearts, spoken with the tongue. So whoever says other than this, or claims that there is a Quran on the Earth and a Quran in the heavens that isn’t the one we recite with our tongues and written in our books, or he believes this in his heart, or hidden in his self or says it with his tongue, he is indeed a disbeliever in Allah, his blood is permissible, he’s free from Allah and Allah is free from him.* *And with the statement of Allah:* *[Rather it is an honoured Qur’ān, in the preserved tablet].* (85:21-22) *And in the verse:* *[And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah].* (9:6) *Allah conveyed, that the Quran written in the preserved tablet and heard from the tongue of the Prophet, they’re one Quran, like it is memorised in the chests, and with the tongues of the elders and youngsters it is recited.”* أخْبَرَنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أحْمَدَ قالَ: أخْبَرَنا أحْمَدُ بْنُ كامِلٍ قالَ: ثنا أبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ قالَ: فَأوَّلُ ما نَبْدَأُ بِالقَوْلِ فِيهِ مِن ذَلِكَ كَلامُ اللَّهِ وتَنْزِيلُهُ؛ إذْ كانَ مِن مَعانِي تَوْحِيدِهِ، والصَّوابُ مِنَ القَوْلِ فِي ذَلِكَ عِنْدَنا أنَّهُ كَلامُ اللَّهِ غَيْرُ مَخْلُوقٍ، وكَيْفَ كُتِبَ، وكَيْفَ تُلِيَ، وفِي أيِّ مَوْضِعٍ قُرِئَ، فِي السَّماءِ وُجِدَ، أوْ فِي الأرْضِ حُفِظَ، فِي اللَّوْحِ المَحْفُوظِ كانَ مَكْتُوبًا، أوْ فِي ألْواحِ صِبْيانِ الكَتاتِيبِ مَرْسُومًا، فِي حَجَرٍ نُقِشَ، أوْ فِي رَقٍّ خُطَّ، فِي القَلْبِ حُفِظَ، أوْ بِاللِّسانِ لُفِظَ، فَمَن قالَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ أوِ ادَّعى أنَّ قُرْآنًا فِي الأرْضِ أوْ فِي السَّماءِ غَيْرَ الَّذِي نَتْلُوهُ بِألْسِنَتِنا ولَكِنَّهُ فِي مَصاحِفِنا، أوِ اعْتَقَدَ ذَلِكَ بِقَلْبِهِ، أوْ أضْمَرَهُ فِي نَفْسِهِ، أوْ قالَ بِلِسانِهِ دايِنًا بِهِ، فَهُوَ بِاللَّهِ كافِرٌ، حَلالُ الدَّمِ، وبَرِيءٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ، واللَّهُ بَرِيءٌ مِنهُ، يَقُولُ اللَّهُ: ﴿بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَجِيدٌ فِي لَوْحٍ مَحْفُوظٍ﴾ [البروج ٢٢]. وقالَ وقَوْلُهُ الحَقُّ: ﴿وإنْ أحَدٌ مِنَ المُشْرِكِينَ اسْتَجارَكَ فَأجِرْهُ حَتّى يَسْمَعَ كَلامَ اللَّهِ﴾ [التوبة ٦]. فَأخْبَرَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ ثَناؤُهُ أنَّهُ فِي اللَّوْحِ المَحْفُوظِ، وأنَّهُ مِن لِسانِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ مَسْمُوعٌ، وهُوَ قُرْآنٌ واحِدٌ، مِن مُحَمَّدِ ﷺ مَسْمُوعٌ، وفِي اللَّوْحِ المَحْفُوظِ مَكْتُوبٌ، وكَذَلِكَ هُوَ فِي الصُّدُورِ مَحْفُوظٌ، وبِألْسُنِ الشُّيُوخِ والشُّبّانِ مَتْلُوٌّ (Sharh Usool I’tiqad Ahlul Sunnah Wal Jama’ah by Al Lalaka’ee 325) #ashari #salafi #athari #quran #aqeeda #creed #hamzayusuf
