In this video I go over the process I use when texturing assets using Quixel Mixer. It start from Blender (where the ID map is also done), exporting the high and low poly to xNormal for the bake, then importing all the maps to Mixer and having fun with texturing. Once complete, you can export directly to Bridge's library and then to Unreal. Edit: Apologies, realized too late that the recording audio is really low on this video, so you might have to raise the volume on your end. In this video I show off a material I made using Quixel Mixer and then imported into Unreal Engine 4. Quixel Mixer & Bridge are both totally free for everyone. Megascans is also free to everyone using Unreal Engine 4 when you sign into Megascans library with your Epic Games Login information. This material is in 4K both in Mixer and Unreal Engine 4. Later I will upload a video showing how the entire process is done from Mixer, to Bridge, then to Unreal Engine 4 so you can see how it is done, and how easy it is to make realistic materials using Megascans. (Had to Re-Upload because voice levels were too low. I also normalized my voice using Audacity as well as reduced the background noise. Will be doing this for every video from now on as well)
This session dives into some of the new features in Quixel Mixer 2020—a tool for mixing scans together to quickly create ultra- realistic tileable surfaces.
