Why did Yugoslavia Collapse?

Why did Yugoslavia Collapse? Yugoslavia. For many, a long-forgotten failed nation. For others, an all-too painful, and recent, memory. A once-united federation made up of six neighboring republics, Yugoslavia’s existence was never a simple one. With constant ethnic and religious division, it seems that it was only a matter of time before a breakup would be imminent. But was that the only cause of Yugoslavia’s collapse? And how did the ethnic disputes actually lead to the destruction of an entire federation?... ♦Consider to Support the Channel of Patreon and gain cool stuff: 🤍 ♦Please consider to SUBSCRIBE: 🤍 ♦Music by Epidemic Sound ♦Sources : 🤍 🤍 #History #Documentary #Yugoslavia

DEATH OF YUGOSLAVIA. History of Yugoslavia Part 1/2: The unification - DOCUMENTARY (ENGLISH SUB)

1918 formed a kingdom for Serbs, Croats and Slovenians. Soon, opposition to the country became a royal dictatorship and became the name of Yugoslavia. After World War II, the country became communist. The Yugoslav People's Republic was proclaimed and President Tito came to power. This is part 1 out of 2 and here you will follow Yugoslavia's development until Tito's death in 1980. This is a swedish documentary that i watched a while ago and i thought it was so good that i decided to upload the entire thing to youtube. I do NOT claim any ownership. It's just i want to preserve history in case it gets removed from their website. IMPORTANT!!: I don't care if you are serb, croatian, bosnian, slovenian or albanian. I wan't to keep the comment section as clean as possible so if you are here to write any nationalistic or idiotic views, it will be removed. The war was fought between politicians and old bitter men. All people of Yugoslavia, despite your ethnicity or religion, became a victim at the time of the war.

Do people miss Yugoslavia?

Some look at the time of the Socialist Republic with grave bitterness and resentment, whereas others have a deep sense of nostalgia, yearning for the “good old days” of their youth. In the following minutes, we will explore both sides of the argument and answer the question, whether so-called “Yugonostalgia” is based on facts or mere wishful thinking of older generations that simply miss the old days. - which has become a taboo topic in and of itself , where you will be considered a delusional lunatic for reminiscing about days where people say they’ve lived prosperously and with dignity. _ ►Patreon: 🤍 ►Instagram: 🤍 ♪ Music ♫ HookSounds - Voices in the dark Ergo Phizmiz - Open your head Per Kiilstofte - Dystopia Savfk - As above, so below

I came down with a cold and it just wouldn't go away. Next up, I'm writing out in detail 2 things that I'm sure will be controversial in the comments. First, the GDP Per Capita is not based off the Nominal GDP I listed in the video. It's based off the PPP GDP Per Capita rather than Nominal, which is why if you check my math and multiply the PPP Per Capita you won't get the same result as the Nominal GDP I listed. Second, I did the population of cities based on their metro areas, not their city limits. Zagreb has a metro population of over 1 million people. Yugoslavian Patriotic March - ''Uz Maršala Tita'' (With Marshal Tito)

Uz Maršala Tita is a Yugoslav Partisan anthem about the Marshal and president of SFR Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito, written by Vladimir Nazor and composed by Oskar Danon. During the Independent State of Croatia, part of the Ustasha ideology was minimizing the Slavic origin of Croats. One theory claimed that Croats and Goths shared a same origin. The middle stanza of this song addresses that by outright refutal of the Gothic theory and by reaffirming the Slavic origins of all South Slavs. Written in 1943 when relations between Josip Broz Tito and the Soviet leadership were very close, the early version of the song included a mention of Joseph Stalin. The first verse of this early version read "Uz Tita, Staljina, dva junačka sina" (With Tito and Stalin, two heroic sons). After the Tito–Stalin split in 1948, Stalin's name was dropped and the first verse was changed to "Uz maršala Tita, junačkoga sina" (With marshal Tito, a heroic son). It has been translated into all official languages of SFR Yugoslavia, as well as Slovak (So Súdruhom Titom).
