Homerun, I hardly knew thee.
Make this the first comment so people know this is not the homerun scene
All made up drama that didnt happen
Great movie but mostly fiction.
Art Howe was on board with the ideas.
The scouts were on board.
The A's had a few good players besides Haddeburg. The pitchers Mulder, Zito and Hudson.
AL MVP Tejada
Look up Pena's stats that year. Hardly an all star.
FAIL
Soooo uhhhh.......about that homerun ?
Wow did you guys see that home run 🤯
When I first saw this in theaters, I thought Brad's acting seemed cheesy at the start. Its my second favorite sports movie behind Miracle now and ive probably watched it 100 times and I love the writing and acting
Of course he doesn't know. No one knows. But show me the computer that predicted Cody Bellinger would hit .165 two years after his NL MVP season. Yeah, you wont' be able to because it doesn't fricking exist.
I wish one day when someone asks "may speak candidly?", the other character says NO. That would be refreshing.
I agree with both sides. That scout did help put together a world series team though. Brought in guys like Canseco, McGwire, Steinbach, Henderson, Eckersley, Stewart, Parker.
clickbait- everything but
Billy could've avoided all of this if he'd just explained to the scouts why he believed in his new methodology. He just propped Pete in the room and expected them to buy in without question.
I suppose the point was to show how resistant the old guard were, but he really didn't communicate anything to them. Even in this scene, he just says "Adapt or die", as if that's supposed to convince Grady.
Funny the GM was a player that had to retired after 4yrs. Some scout got it wrong, that scout was Gradey... That's so ironic
four minutes and 57 seconds and we know nothing about Hatteberg's home run - and yeah - it is two words geniuses
No , there wasn't any Home-Run here .... but the Actors Knocked it Out of the f'cking Ball Park with their Performances !! 😎👍🏻
"you're discounting what scouts have done for years?"
they turned down players for having ugly girlfriends lol
Good luck to the A's in Las Vegas. I hope they bring back the magic.
Nice title
